Rest in Power, Angie Stone

I just learned that the amazing singer Angie Stone has passed away due to a car accident, and my heart is heavy. This woman was truly one of my favorite singers—her voice, her music, her presence in the industry were all unmatched. She was a legend in R&B and neo-soul, and her songs carried so much soul and depth.

Angie began her career in the late 1970s with the pioneering female hip-hop group The Sequence, known for their hit "Funk You Up." She later achieved solo success with albums like "Black Diamond" and "Mahogany Soul," solidifying her influence in the neo-soul genre.

Angie gave us timeless hits like Wish I Didn’t Miss YouBrothaNo More Rain (In This Cloud), and so many more. Her music had a way of touching the soul, making you feel something deep, whether it was love, heartbreak, or empowerment. She paved the way for so many artists and left a mark that will never be erased.

This is such a huge loss for the music world, but her legacy will live on through the incredible music she left behind. Sending prayers and love to her family and loved ones during this difficult time. Rest in power, Angie Stone. You will never be forgotten. 🕊️💔
