Tackling Math Assignments, Flare-ups, and College Life: My Day as a Commuter Student
You know that feeling when you finally get a good night’s sleep after staying up way too late? 🙌🏾 That was me this morning! I stayed up until 3 AM on Tuesday (because why not? 😅), and after dragging myself through the day yesterday, I finally caught up on some much-needed rest. Now I’m sitting in the commuter lounge, wide awake and ready to finish up this math assignment before my class in 30 minutes. 💪🏾
Math is… well, let’s just say it’s not my favorite subject. 🤦🏾♀️ Graphs, charts, and formulas? I’d rather not. But I’m determined to power through. I had two tutoring sessions yesterday (because yes, I needed that much help 😂), but the tutor could only get me through so much in the time we had. So here I am, working out the last two questions on my own and hoping they’re right. 🤞🏾
And as if math wasn’t enough to deal with, my body decided now would be a great time for a flare-up. 🙃 Stress really knows how to hit you where it hurts—literally. My upper gum, the roof of my mouth, and my tongue are all giving me hell right now, but hey, what’s college without a few extra challenges, right? 😒
Still, I’m here, and I’m getting it done. 📝 Whether it’s math or a flare-up, I’m learning that life won’t wait for you to feel 100%, so you’ve just got to keep moving. 🚶🏾♀️
If you’re reading this while you’re battling through your own assignments, health struggles, or just the craziness of life, remember—you’re not alone. 💖 We’re all out here doing our best, even when it feels like everything is working against us. So here’s to showing up, pushing through, and taking it one step at a time. 🌟
