The Rollercoaster of a Saturday Night: Bathtub Disasters, Ancient Aliens, and Everything in Between 🛁👽📱
Saturday night, and I was ready for a relaxing bath after a busy week. The plan? An oatmeal Epsom soak, some peaceful reading, and just unwinding. I had everything set: my book, my iPad, my bath filled with warm water… or so I thought. But no—the hot water completely bailed on me. I waited patiently, reading my book, hoping for the water to warm up. Despite running it for a while, the comforting warmth I craved never came. To top it off, I got into the bath anyway, but it was freezing! So much for my long, peaceful soak. My 20-minute timer went off, and I was left sitting in cold water, wishing for just a little bit of comfort. Talk about a huge letdown. 😩❄️
I was all set to do my usual routine afterward: changing my expired insulin pump and Dexcom sensor. But nope, that didn’t happen. Instead, I wrapped up my bath early and decided to switch gears. I reattached my sensors, grabbed some chips and lemonade 🍟🍋, and settled in to watch Ancient Aliens on TV. (Honestly, my night was turning out to be more eventful than I anticipated.)
I spent a good chunk of my evening diving deep into the mysteries of the universe. Ancient Aliens was on, and they were talking about everything from Puma Punku to the mysteries of ancient civilizations. I mean, how did they do it? How did they carve massive stones with such precision thousands of years ago? 🤔🔍 It’s amazing how little we know about our own history. I only see glimpses of it, and the missing pieces might never be found. It’s fascinating—and a little unsettling—knowing that so many secrets of the past may forever be hidden.
I also dived into the mystery of aliens, as one does during a late-night Ancient Aliens binge. The question: Am I alone in the universe? Of course, I believe in aliens—not the Hollywood version, but it’s hard to deny the possibility that there’s something—or someone—out there. 👾🌌 It’s wild to think about.
As I was getting deeper into the mysteries of the cosmos, I reflected on how small I really am. Even though humanity has advanced a lot over time, there are still things we can’t explain—like the creation of ancient monuments. Did aliens help? Or were these civilizations just much more advanced than we give them credit for? It’s hard to say, but it’s fun to imagine. 🛸
Later, as the night went on, I ended up getting pretty tired 💤. Before going to sleep, I made sure to check my blood sugar. A quick snack of chips and lemonade gave me a bit of a boost, and I set my insulin pump up so my levels wouldn’t spike too high. I found myself reflecting on how little things—like missing out on a hot bath—can affect my mood, and how sometimes, the night gets away from me. But hey, at least I smelled good, right? 😄🌙
So, here I am, still curious about the mysteries of the universe but ready to call it a night. Maybe next Saturday, I’ll actually get my bath, but for tonight, I’m just happy to relax—even if it wasn’t in the way I originally planned. 🛁✨
Now, as I get up this morning, I find that the hot water works too well! I burnt my hand for a hot second (get it? 😅). Classic timing, right? But at least I got the warm soak I was craving.
