Frozen Classroom Chronicles: When Even Two Heaters Aren’t Enough

Image
Shoutout to my professor for actually  acknowledging  that we’re all freezing and getting us  two heaters —a true hero. πŸ™ŒπŸΎ But let’s be honest… this weather?  It’s built different.  Earlier, it was  16 degrees  (which should be illegal), and now it’s  23 degrees , but does it feel any better?  Absolutely not. I swear, these heaters are  trying their best , but the cold is just  laughing at us.  Like, “Oh, you thought two heaters would help? That’s cute.” Meanwhile, I’m still sitting here, wrapped in my coat, clutching my coffee like it’s  a source of warmth and emotional support.  ☕ Current Mood: ❄️ Can’t feel my fingers ❄️ Shivering in layers like a human burrito ❄️ Wondering if it’s socially acceptable to bring a blanket to class ❄️ Debating if I should start wearing thermal gloves indoors Me, Right Now: You ever see that  Homer Simpson meme  where he’s buried under a mountain of blankets with just his l...

Good Morning! It’s 11:13 AM, and I Almost Busted My Ass

Image
Good morning! It’s 11:13 AM, and let me tell you—I almost busted my ass going down the steps just a few minutes ago. Yesterday, it snowed, and now it’s a full-on winter wonderland outside. ❄️ Everything is covered in white, looking all pretty and peaceful… until you realize there’s ice hiding underneath, just waiting to take you out. Slippery as fuck. I’m pretty sure classes might get moved to remote again because, honestly, who wants to risk sliding across campus like a cartoon character? Not me. I’d rather stay inside, cozy and warm, sipping something hot while watching the snowfall  from a  safe distance. We get so caught up in the rush of life—deadlines, responsibilities, stress—that we forget one of the simplest yet most important things: waking up each day is a gift. This little cow sipping coffee in the sunlight perfectly captures that feeling of slowing down and appreciating the moment. Sometimes, it’s easy to focus on what’s missing, what’s wrong, or what ...

Snow Day Survival for Awkwardly Introverted Souls ❄️

Image
It’s official: classes have moved online to Zoom because we’re expecting a whole two inches of snow. Yep, two inches. But hey, icy conditions, brutal winds, and freezing temperatures make it sound worse, right? 🌬️❄️ It’s currently 2 a.m., and I should be asleep, but I just wrapped up my homework. Why the late-night hustle? An eye exam earlier left me temporarily blinded by those dilation drops—seriously, it’s no joke. I couldn’t even read my assignments properly. But now that I’m caught up, I’m thankful tomorrow's classes are online. πŸ‘€πŸ’» Honestly, I didn’t have the energy to go to campus anyway. Thursdays are my long-haul days, with a huge break between classes. Normally, I spend that downtime eating and doing homework before my dreaded night class: math. (I’ll let you guess how I feel about math. πŸ€”πŸ“‰) At least this semester, I dodged early morning classes, so there’s that win. πŸ™ŒπŸΎ Tomorrow, writing starts at 11:30 a.m., a perfectly reasonable time for a semi-night owl like me....
