The Broken Bank Account Drama: My Autopay Disaster (and Other Campus Chaos)

Image
Ever had one of those days where everything just seems to go wrong, yet somehow, it still makes the best kind of story? Yeah, that’s me today. From dodging bees and battling with the Hackensack River (I’ll explain), to Starbucks betrayal and the ultimate enemy—algebra—I’m living the full college experience. Let me break it down for you. The Morning of False Hope: Starbucks Betrayal ☕ I walked across campus with high hopes. I mean, it was a beautiful day and the sun was shining. What could go wrong? I saw my classmate sipping on a chilled iced coffee, and instantly, my thoughts went straight to coffee heaven. So, I made my way to the on-campus Starbucks, feeling all hopeful and prepared. Only… they don’t accept my Starbucks card. Only cash or credit—like, come on! I’ve got money on that card, but I might as well be holding a piece of plastic that just mocks me at this point. What a cruel reminder of how broke I am. So, here I am, iced coffee-less, crossing the bridge back to my side...

The Best Part of the Day: Finally Crawling Into Bed πŸ›ŒπŸ’€

Image
There’s nothing quite like that moment when you finally collapse into bed after a long, exhausting day. The second your body hits the mattress, it's like an instant wave of relief washes over you. The blankets wrap you up just right, the pillow molds perfectly under your head, and for the first time all day, you feel at peace.   This is the moment you’ve been looking forward to since you first got out of bed this morning. Let’s be real—some days feel like a never-ending marathon. Work, school, responsibilities, social interactions (ugh), and just  existing  can drain every ounce of energy. The struggle to stay awake in class, the never-ending to-do lists, and the brutal cold outside? Yeah, all of it just makes that final moment of getting under the covers even  sweeter . And don’t even get me started on the  bedtime rituals.  That feeling of throwing on your comfiest pajamas, turning off the lights, grabbing your phone to do some mindless scrolling, or crac...

😩 Exhaustion and Getting Through It

Image
Today was one of those days that left me completely drained. Between morning classes, walking all over campus, a night class, and tutoring, my body feels like it’s been through a marathon. πŸƒπŸΎ‍♀️πŸ’¨ Add my period into the mix, and it’s no wonder I’m shaking from sheer exhaustion. 😡🏾‍πŸ’« Thankfully, no cramps or pain this time—just the heaviness that makes everything feel ten times harder. The night class is worth it, though. My current math professor actually helps me understand the material, and I’ve been passing quizzes and tests. ✏️πŸ“š That’s something I’ve struggled with before, so this class, as exhausting as it is, is necessary. It’s a far cry from my old math professor, who failed me—I saw them today, but I didn’t bother saying anything. 🚢🏾‍♀️πŸ’¨ Moving forward is all that matters. After such a long day, I tried to relax by playing Sims 4 for a bit (they finally brought back burglars! 🏑🦹🏾‍♂️), but even that felt like too much. By 11 p.m., I was in bed, barely hanging o...

Jet Lag and Returning Home: Navigating the Post-Travel Blues

Image
After returning home from my trip to Greece πŸ‡¬πŸ‡· on Monday night, I thought I would smoothly transition back to my routine. I was excited to be home, but now I’m realizing that jet lag is no joke. 😩 At first, I felt okay, maybe still caught up in the excitement of the trip. I thought about the breathtaking sunsets in Santorini, the delicious Greek food, and the fascinating history I experienced. But now, as the days pass, the toll of travel is becoming evident. It’s now Saturday, and I’m waving the white flag 🏳️. I think it’s going to take me at least a week to fully recover. I didn’t get a chance to relax because I had to jump right back into my classes. I find myself battling exhaustion throughout the day, only to feel drowsy by early evening. The other night, I accidentally fell asleep at 6:46 PM. I hadn’t intended to crash so early, but my body had other plans. Now, I’m wide awake at a time when I should be winding down, and I have an early class tomorrow. 😴 To make matters wors...
