🌸 Spring is Broken, Please Fix It 🛠️
Spring is supposed to be that magical time of year when nature hits the refresh button—birds chirping 🐦, flowers blooming 🌼, and people happily ditching their winter coats 🧥. It’s all sunshine, smiles, and iced drinks... right? Wrong. At least not today.
Instead of basking in warmth and light, I found myself standing in the cold ❄️, getting pelted by sideways rain 🌧️, and questioning all my life choices 🫠—especially the one where I didn’t bring an umbrella.
It all started innocently enough. I had a doctor’s appointment at 3 PM 🕒 and thought I’d catch the 722 bus afterward to head home. Easy. Simple. Foolproof. Enter: chaos. The sky had a full-on mood swing. First, it was just chilly. Then came a light drizzle ☔. Before I could even process what was happening, it turned into a full-blown downpour 🌧️. And me? No umbrella. Wrong shoes. Just vibes and regret.
There I was, soaked and shivering 🥶, waiting for my bus like a soggy popsicle. The 163 bus cruised by like it was mocking me 🥲—not the bus I needed, of course. Mine was fashionably late, as always.
Meanwhile, I was gripping my Starbucks refresher like it could warm my soul 🧋 (note: it did not). My hands were frozen, my shoes were wet, and my patience had completely evaporated.
At 3:37 PM 🕞—34 miserable minutes later—the bus finally rolled up. I climbed on like an extra in a survival movie, hoping for peace. But peace was not in the cards. Just when I thought I could zone out with my music 🎵 and pretend this wasn’t the worst spring day ever, my wired headphones died. Not broke. Not tangled. Just gave up on life.
So I sat there in awkward silence 😑, forced to listen to every cough 😷, throat clear 🤧, and loud conversation 💬 around me. I don’t know who hurt these people, but they really wanted the whole bus to hear their business.
Fast forward to 4:45 PM 🕓. I finally made it home, wet, cold, and exhausted. And what greeted me as I walked in? Sunlight. Glorious, unapologetic sunlight. The same sky that tried to drown me an hour earlier was now pretending like nothing happened. Clear blue skies. Birds chirping. The audacity.
Dear Spring: get it together. One day it’s warm, the next it’s acting like December in disguise 🥶. I just want to enjoy my iced drinks in peace without having to check the radar every five minutes.
Also— 🎧 R.I.P. to my old wired headphones. 👟 Shame on me for wearing the wrong shoes. ☂️ And yes, I’ve learned my lesson: always bring an umbrella.
Today was a mess, but hey—I survived. Barely. 😂
Moral of the story?
✔️ Always carry an umbrella.
✔️ Wear weather-appropriate shoes.
✔️ Keep a spare pair of headphones in every bag, car, and possibly your pocket.
You never know when spring is gonna spring something on you. 🌦️
