Monday Mayhem: Cold Sandwiches, Period Poop, and Bland Burgers

Ugh, What a Day 🙄

I started the day early by catching the minibus to get to class at 10 AM, so I left the house at 7:30. But this time, I forgot to grab something to eat, so once I got on campus, I went to 7/11 to get a coffee and an egg with sausage sandwich. Sounds simple, right? Nope. The sandwich wasn’t warm at all, so I had to microwave it, but even after that, it wasn’t warm enough. Ugh 😩. The sandwich was cold in the middle, and the coffee wasn’t hot either. I was starving, so I ate it outside the math building.

Then, of course, my period decided to make things worse, and I had to run to the bathroom to deal with period poop 💩. Period poop is a whole evil entity on its own. It’s like, as if the cramps and everything else weren’t enough, now you gotta deal with your stomach turning into an angry monster. It empties you out, and all you want to do is lay down and cry, but no—you gotta keep going. The worst part? After all that, I was still starving because I just emptied my stomach from all that damn pooping. 😂

Math class at 10 AM wasn’t any better. No exam today, just the same old boring, stupid math problems. I spent my time working on these lovely gems:

  • Simplifying expressions like (4x + 3) + (5x - 7)
  • Solving for x in problems like 2x + 7 = 15
  • Factoring equations like x² + 5x + 6
  • Word problems like: “If the perimeter of a rectangle is 24 meters, and the length is 3 meters more than the width, what are the dimensions?” 🤦🏾‍♀️

The tutor came by, but instead of helping, he just confused me even more. Not exactly what I needed today.

After math class ended at 12 PM, I decided to grab a quick bite. I had a cheeseburger and fries today, but it was a total letdown. The burger was flavorless, plain, dry, and just plain bland. Honestly, I could’ve done without it, but I was so hungry after the bathroom fiasco that I just ate it. At least it filled me up a little. Oh, and I had a Crush grape soda with it, which was probably the best part of the whole meal. 😒

Then, I had my doctor’s appointment. I didn’t bother bringing my dollhouse project with me since I knew I’d be coming back for it tomorrow. I made it to my appointment on time, talked with my doctor, got my prescriptions refilled, and had some bloodwork done. They took my blood for testing, and honestly, it was just a sharp pinch 🤏🏾—nothing too bad. I guess I’ve gotten used to it by now. Afterward, I left the building at 5, got home at 5:30, and was glad that everything went smoothly.

Finally, I’m at home, exhausted and still mentally drained from the day. I guess I survived, but it wasn’t exactly a good day. I still gotta deal with that never-ending art project and math class. But hey, at least there’s no more period poop for now. 🙄

Mondays really should come with a warning label because, honestly, no one should have to survive all that before even getting to Tuesday. 🤦🏾‍♀️

But, honestly, I can’t wait to get into some comfy clothes, relax, and forget about all of this for a bit.
