17 Sales and Counting: The Journey of My Wu-Tang T-Shirt on TeePublic ππ
The Highs π
Designing this shirt was a labor of love. π Inspired by both pop culture and the timelessness of the Wu-Tang Clan, I wanted to create something bold yet relatable. When I uploaded it to TeePublic and saw those first few sales come in, I was thrilled. ππΎ It validated the effort I’d put into creating something people wanted to wear.
Seeing my design available on other accessories like mugs and stickers was also exciting, as it allowed people to connect with my work beyond clothing. π️
The Challenges π€
While selling on TeePublic has its perks, the margins can feel disheartening at times. TeePublic often runs sales that lower the price of products significantly. This is great for customers π€ but leaves creators with a smaller cut. π€ For example, the shirt that’s listed at $23 often drops to $16 or less during a sale, reducing my earnings per item.
Despite this, I’m determined to focus on what I’ve accomplished—selling 17 designs is no small feat, and every sale is proof that my creativity has value. π¨π‘
What’s Next? π
My goal is to continue building on this momentum. Whether it’s expanding my store with more pop culture-inspired designs π️, experimenting with new accessories, or promoting my work on social media π±, I’m eager to see where this journey takes me.
I’m also learning to balance passion and profit—exploring other platforms or even creating my own shop someday where I can have more control over pricing and margins. πͺπΎ
Thank You ππΎ
To everyone who’s purchased my Wu-Tang-inspired design or shared my store with friends—thank you. π Your support means the world to me, and I’m excited to keep creating products that speak to you.
Here’s to the next 17 sales and beyond! π₯π
