Surviving Monday Madness: Algebra, Geese, and Zombie Creations 🧟‍♀️πŸ“šπŸš

It’s one of those Mondays where everything just feels off balance. 😩

First up was algebra—one of my biggest struggles. Between exponents and quotients, I feel like I’m just barely hanging on. πŸ“➗ With only 10 of us left in class (it’s wild how students drop off near the end of the semester), the professor keeps calling on me. Not complaining, but I have to wonder: why pay for a class if you’re not going to show up? πŸ€”

Then, on my way back from a bathroom break, I was traumatized. Someone left a truly horrific mess without even bothering to flush. πŸ’©πŸ˜± I mean, come on—how hard is it? College students should know better by now! πŸ™„

As if the day wasn’t chaotic enough, I ran into a gang of geese 🦒 blocking the sidewalk near my art school. These birds have no fear! 😳 I had to actually walk in the street to get around them. I can hear them quacking outside my window now—hopefully, they’re not plotting an attack on someone! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…

After my mixed media class 🎨 let out at 3:30, I was absolutely starving. 🍽️ Skipping lunch at noon wasn’t the best choice, so I went to the nearby Chinese spot for a quick fix. πŸ— I didn’t want a full meal—just something to hold me over—but ended up paying $7 for four pieces of chicken. πŸ” Probably should’ve gone for the six pieces at $11 to get my money’s worth, but at least I had a banana 🍌 to help fill the gap.

Moments like this make me wish I lived closer to campus. 🏠 If I had housing nearby, I could go home to eat or just chill between classes. But I live two towns over, and financial aid didn’t cover room and board. πŸ₯² Oh well—fingers crossed 🀞🏾 for better food options next time!

Today, my art professor πŸ‘©‍🏫 had us showcase our projects from the semester. I like my other pieces, but I have to admit, I wasn’t a fan of my zombie. 🧟‍♀️ Sure, zombies are supposed to look messed up, but mine looked like something out of Swamp Thing—or, as my classmate said, “The Thing”! πŸ˜‚ My professor liked it for its “originality,” even though I thought it belonged in the trash. πŸ—‘️ But she said it’s complete, and since it’s due today, I’m ready to move on to the next project! πŸŽ‰

Now, I’m making the long trek 🚢🏾‍♀️ from campus to the bus stop and then onward to home. Honestly, I’m so tired of walking. πŸ˜‚ It feels like everyone else has a scooter πŸ›΄ or a car πŸš—, and here I am—still trying to pass my road test. Smh 🀦🏾‍♀️

I finally made it to the bus stop 🚏, only to be greeted by a traffic jam 🚦 and the lovely smell of manure. πŸ’© For anyone wondering, that’s shit πŸ’© or poop πŸ˜‚ at its finest. Now, onwards to home 🏠 as I’m finally on the bus 🚍, and thank god for that because my shoulders are aching from carrying this bag! πŸŽ’
