Surviving Monday Madness: Algebra, Geese, and Zombie Creations π§♀️ππ
It’s one of those Mondays where everything just feels off balance. π©
First up was algebra—one of my biggest struggles. Between exponents and quotients, I feel like I’m just barely hanging on. π➗ With only 10 of us left in class (it’s wild how students drop off near the end of the semester), the professor keeps calling on me. Not complaining, but I have to wonder: why pay for a class if you’re not going to show up? π€
Then, on my way back from a bathroom break, I was traumatized. Someone left a truly horrific mess without even bothering to flush. π©π± I mean, come on—how hard is it? College students should know better by now! π
As if the day wasn’t chaotic enough, I ran into a gang of geese π¦’ blocking the sidewalk near my art school. These birds have no fear! π³ I had to actually walk in the street to get around them. I can hear them quacking outside my window now—hopefully, they’re not plotting an attack on someone! ππ
After my mixed media class π¨ let out at 3:30, I was absolutely starving. π½️ Skipping lunch at noon wasn’t the best choice, so I went to the nearby Chinese spot for a quick fix. π I didn’t want a full meal—just something to hold me over—but ended up paying $7 for four pieces of chicken. π Probably should’ve gone for the six pieces at $11 to get my money’s worth, but at least I had a banana π to help fill the gap.
Moments like this make me wish I lived closer to campus. π If I had housing nearby, I could go home to eat or just chill between classes. But I live two towns over, and financial aid didn’t cover room and board. π₯² Oh well—fingers crossed π€πΎ for better food options next time!
Today, my art professor π©π« had us showcase our projects from the semester. I like my other pieces, but I have to admit, I wasn’t a fan of my zombie. π§♀️ Sure, zombies are supposed to look messed up, but mine looked like something out of Swamp Thing—or, as my classmate said, “The Thing”! π My professor liked it for its “originality,” even though I thought it belonged in the trash. π️ But she said it’s complete, and since it’s due today, I’m ready to move on to the next project! π
Now, I’m making the long trek πΆπΎ♀️ from campus to the bus stop and then onward to home. Honestly, I’m so tired of walking. π It feels like everyone else has a scooter π΄ or a car π, and here I am—still trying to pass my road test. Smh π€¦πΎ♀️
I finally made it to the bus stop π, only to be greeted by a traffic jam π¦ and the lovely smell of manure. π© For anyone wondering, that’s shit π© or poop π at its finest. Now, onwards to home π as I’m finally on the bus π, and thank god for that because my shoulders are aching from carrying this bag! π
