A Haunting Halloween Morning: The Sun’s Betrayal

A Haunting Halloween Morning: The Sun’s Betrayal It’s Halloween 🎃—the one day the world is supposed to come alive with the supernatural, the eerie, the strange. But as I look out across campus, something feels… off. Where’s the crisp chill in the air? Where’s the ghostly fog creeping over the grass? Instead, we’re cursed with an unholy 80 degrees. What kind of twisted trick is this? It feels like summer’s ghost decided to haunt us, denying fall its rightful moment. My day begins with swollen gums from a teeth cleaning—a discomfort that might be spooky on any other day, but today it’s just another frustrating reminder of my autoimmune disease flaring up. So here I am, armed with four prednisone pills, fighting off the pain while sipping my coffee ☕️, waiting for Halloween magic that’s nowhere to be found. All I can hear are the loud voices from the commuter lounge, shattering the peace I was craving. So I retreat to the back of my mom’s office, where I finally find some quiet.

Thankfully, my body and gums have finally calmed down, and the swelling is gone—thank god, because it was painful as f*ck. Honestly, the whole ordeal drained my Halloween spirit. Trick-or-treating? No thanks. I’ll be at home tonight, haunting my essay due tomorrow. Homework first—keeping that GPA up, especially since math already stopped me from that perfect 4.0. And if we’re breaking Halloween tradition, can we at least let this warm weather stay through November? It’s the least it could do. Happy Halloween 🎃👻 to all!

Stay safe tonight, and don’t forget to check your candy 🍬—Halloween always seems to bring out the crazies on All Hallows’ Eve. As for me, I’ll be curled up at home, maybe watching Hocus Pocus for the millionth time. October Courtyard Vibes: A Halloween Treat It’s such a beautiful day—warm, but not too hot. Perfect for a Halloween afternoon! I can just imagine the kids loving it when they head out for trick-or-treating after school. I stopped by 7/11, treated myself to a Slurpee and a chocolate donut 🍩, and found a spot in the courtyard to take it all in. Only 15 minutes until my web design class starts. I came early because my art professor promised to be here… but, naturally, she didn’t show up, lol 😂. No big deal, though—I found some wood pieces perfect for my Land Art project! I’m planning to use them alongside seashells 🐚 and white pebbles, which I might even color. Honestly, I’m more excited about this project than anything else right now. Finally, my seashells will be put to use instead of just sitting in a bucket 🪣!

Happy Halloween to everyone! 🎃👻 Enjoy, stay safe, and double-check that candy 🍬—Halloween has a way of bringing out the wild ones. And who knows? I might just unwind with Hocus Pocus later for a little extra Halloween spirit.

Unbelievable October Heat At 4:35 pm, it’s 78 degrees outside—WTF, October? 😂 I just can’t get over this weather. I’m hanging out at FDU’s The Bridge Cafe, indulging in chicken tenders, French fries 🍟, and a pink lemonade, all while watching The View. This warm Halloween feels more like summer’s last laugh than the spooky, chilly day I was hoping for!
