Embracing My Worth as an Introvert 🌿✨

Image
There was a time when I felt like I had to justify my quiet nature, as if being introverted was something that needed fixing. In a world that celebrates loud voices and constant social engagement, I often questioned whether my preference for solitude, deep conversations, and quiet moments meant I was missing out. But the truth is—introversion is not a flaw. It’s a strength. It’s a way of existing that allows for reflection, creativity, and a unique perspective on the world. I’ve learned to embrace the things that bring me joy, whether it's getting lost in a book 📖, working on a creative project 🎨, or simply enjoying the comfort of my own company ☕. 🌸  "I am worthy of a beautiful, happy, fulfilling, sunny, and lovely life. I deserve it all."  🌸 This reminder resonates deeply with me. I don’t have to be the loudest person in the room to be valuable. I don’t have to constantly push myself into social situations that drain me just to fit in. I deserve happiness exactly as...

Self-Care Saturdays: Awkwardly Uneven but Totally Worth It

Image
Hey there, it’s your girl behind the blog,  Awkwardly Introverted ! It’s a lazy Saturday, and I’m taking some much-needed time to relax and give myself a facial. Granted, it’s awkwardly put on and hilariously uneven, but that’s part of the charm, right? Self-care doesn’t have to look perfect—it just has to feel good! Oh, and guess what? It snowed just a little bit today! To be honest, I was hoping for a little more snow—but not like upstate NY or Midwest levels (I’m not ready for that kind of winter chaos). For now, I’m making do with my YouTube fireplace paired with a snowy background video to set the vibe. It’s cozy and just what I need. Speaking of cozy, I’m about to dive back into my hockey romance book 📖⛸️⛸️🏒🥅 because, let’s be real, that’s about as much action as I get these days. LMAO. 🫢🤭🫠🤣😂 For some reason, I find myself reading hockey romances more than any other sport—don’t ask me why, it’s just what I gravitate toward! This one was a random pick from my Goodreads...

Fresh and Rejuvenated: A Perfect Evening Routine

Image
Finally got out of the shower and bath 🛀🏾 with a freshly clean body and face. Feeling good! I stayed in there for a good hour or two just soaking, since I had the chance to do so before reconnecting my insulin pump and putting on my Dexcom again. There's nothing like a good soak in the bath and a rinse off in the shower. Whew, I'm not itchy right now, thank goodness for that Aveeno body wash! Now, it's time to relax with some music until I get sleepy. This evening is all about self-care and unwinding. I hope you all find time for yourselves too! Self-care is so important, especially when managing diabetes. Taking the time to relax and care for your body can make a world of difference in how you feel both physically and mentally. If you're looking for a way to unwind, I highly recommend a long soak in the tub followed by your favorite skincare routine. Tonight's playlist is all about calm, soothing tunes. What are some of your favorite songs or artists to relax ...
