A Saturday Adventure: Errands, Treats & Small Wins

Image
The day started with me staring at my outfit, wondering if everything matched.  After some back and forth, I just went with it—because honestly, who cares? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝ‍♀️ Then came the realization that the mall is just not what it used to be. It’s boring now. The vacant stores, like Best Buy by the Garden State Mall & Paramus Park Mall, are being turned into luxury apartments instead of bringing in something useful. Like, where are the affordable apartments? We don’t need any more overpriced places. Smh. It’s already crowded as it is. ๐Ÿ™„ I called my cousin, the laziest person I know, to see if he wanted to do something. Of course, he didn’t. ๐Ÿ™„ He’s always talking about how he’s bored & broke but never wants to do anything. Like, we can window shop—I’m broke too! ๐Ÿ˜‚ But no, all he wants to do now is smoke weed or cigarettes. Smh. Every time he goes out, he claims he  has  to buy something, especially cigarettes. To me, that sounds like a personal choice, so continue to b...

The Bitstrips Matrix: Choose Wisely ๐Ÿ˜‚

Image
Ah, the golden era of   Bitstrips , when we all had our own cartoon alter egos doing the absolute most. And thanks to   Facebook memories , I’m now revisiting my   Matrix phase —except instead of offering life-altering choices, I was probably debating between   taking a nap or ordering takeout . ๐Ÿ˜ญ ๐Ÿ”ด  Red Pill:  Get up, be productive, go to class, and suffer. ๐Ÿ”ต  Blue Pill:  Stay in bed, binge-watch shows, and pretend responsibilities don’t exist. We all know which one I’d pick. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Honestly, this is peak  2010s energy , and I kinda miss when  Bitstrips  was a thing. Social media was way simpler—no weird algorithms, just  pure, unhinged comic-making chaos . Who else remembers using Bitstrips to  drag their friends  in the funniest ways? Or making entire soap-opera-level  storylines ? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Anyway,  thanks, Facebook memories, for reminding me I was a comedic genius  back in the day. ๐Ÿ˜†

The Best Part of the Day: Finally Crawling Into Bed ๐Ÿ›Œ๐Ÿ’ค

Image
There’s nothing quite like that moment when you finally collapse into bed after a long, exhausting day. The second your body hits the mattress, it's like an instant wave of relief washes over you. The blankets wrap you up just right, the pillow molds perfectly under your head, and for the first time all day, you feel at peace.   This is the moment you’ve been looking forward to since you first got out of bed this morning. Let’s be real—some days feel like a never-ending marathon. Work, school, responsibilities, social interactions (ugh), and just  existing  can drain every ounce of energy. The struggle to stay awake in class, the never-ending to-do lists, and the brutal cold outside? Yeah, all of it just makes that final moment of getting under the covers even  sweeter . And don’t even get me started on the  bedtime rituals.  That feeling of throwing on your comfiest pajamas, turning off the lights, grabbing your phone to do some mindless scrolling, or crac...

Embracing the Cold: Campus Life as Winter Creeps In

Image
Embracing the Cold: Campus Life as Winter Creeps In So, it’s official—fall’s cozy warmth is just a memory, and winter is making an early entrance. ❄️ This morning hit hard: 8:59 a.m., and it was already freezing! ๐Ÿฅถ Not just chilly, but full-on freezing. I threw on my warmest coat with a fur-lined hood, and somehow it still didn’t cut it. Gloves? ๐Ÿงค Forget it. They barely make a dent in the cold this year, and it’s only November. I know winter technically doesn’t start until December 21, but it feels like it’s saying,  “Hey, I’m here early. Get ready.” What really drives it home is the empty campus. ๐Ÿซ Usually, there’s a lively flow of people heading to class, catching up with friends, or just hanging around outside. But today? Nothing. Just me and the wind! ๐ŸŒฌ️ The chill has everyone hiding indoors, and honestly, I can’t blame them. Stepping outside feels like a slap of reality—fall is gone, and we’re deep into sweater weather… or maybe even parka weather at this point. ๐Ÿงฅ ...
