Battling the Wind & NJ Transit: A Struggle Story πŸ“±

Let me set the scene: It’s a cold, windy Friday 🌬️❄️, and I, a humble commuter, just want to get to my destination without being swept off my feet—literally.

The wind? Absolutely feral. I’m gripping the bus stop pole for dear life 🫨, and even that thing is shaking like it’s questioning its life choices. I check the NJ Transit app, hoping for good news. Spoiler alert: there is none.

The bus downtown was supposed to arrive at 1:00 PM but, of course, didn’t show up until 1:08 PM—making its entrance like a hero in a poorly timed movie 🎬. And as if waiting in the cold wasn’t bad enough, I had to pay $1.80 for the ride. $1.80!! Back in the day, it was only $1.10, but thanks to inflation and NJ Transit’s endless greed, I must suffer πŸ’ΈπŸ˜©.

I finally arrived in downtown Paterson and took care of what I needed to do. Mission accomplished… kind of.

Then came round two: fighting the wind πŸŒͺ️ as I struggled to walk back to the bus stop. Once again, NJ Transit was on its fashionably late behavior πŸ™„. With 15 minutes to kill, I decided to browse for a new iPad cover—which, shocker, I did not find. Temu, I’m coming for you πŸ›’πŸ˜‚.

Finally, the bus back home arrived. But plot twist—the fare machine wasn’t working, so I got a free ride πŸŽ‰. A little reward for my suffering? Perhaps.

Now, I’m finally home, warm and toasty ☕πŸ”₯, listening to the wind rage outside while I plot my next move: Sims or books? Either way, I’m done with today.

Moral of the story? NJ Transit will always keep you on your toes—sometimes literally, if the wind is strong enough 🀦🏽‍♀️.
