THIRTEEN YEARS LATER, AND WE STILL SAY HIS NAME—TRAYVON MARTIN! ✊🏾

Seventeen years old. Walking home. A bag of Skittles in his pocket. A future STOLEN.

Justice didn’t just fail Trayvon—it spat in his mother’s face. His murderer, George Zimmerman, walked FREE, while Trayvon was buried in the ground. Zimmerman deserves a long prison sentence, but let’s be real—some street justice wouldn’t be out of place either.

This ain't just about one case. This is about a system that protects white vigilantes while Black children lie dead. It’s about a world where Black youth can’t exist without being seen as a threat.

Trayvon was NOT a symbol—he was a SON, a FRIEND, a CHILD. And his life MATTERED.

George Zimmerman should be rotting in prison, but instead, he became a symbol for every racist who thinks they can murder Black children and get away with it. And why? Because of Stand Your Ground—a law that does NOTHING but give white vigilantes a free pass to kill people of color.

Let’s be clear: Stand Your Ground is NOT self-defense. It is a RACIST weapon. A shield for murderers. A tool of white supremacy.

How many more Black lives have to be lost before we tear this system down? How many more families have to mourn while their killers walk free?

Until the killing of Black children is as unacceptable as the killing of white children, there will be NO peace! NO rest! NO compromise!

The Million Hoodies Movement for Justice ignited national conversations about racial profiling, gun violence, and stand-your-ground laws.

We STAND. We FIGHT. We REMEMBER. And we will NEVER forget!

🖤✊🏾 SAY HIS NAME! TRAYVON MARTIN!
