A Cozy Thanksgiving and Introverted Black Friday
This year, Thanksgiving felt quiet and relaxed—just the way I like it. The day started with me tucked away in my little world, reading ๐ as rain poured outside ๐ง️ and the cold settled in ❄️. My mom cooked, so we ate early, which I was thankful for because no one else we knew was ready. Instead of hopping from house to house, my cousin came over, and we all shared a meal ๐ฝ️, watched TV ๐บ, and laughed together ๐. It was simple, and honestly, that was enough.
Holidays have never been my thing. I’ve always felt you shouldn’t need a specific day to bring people together ๐คท๐พ♀️. That’s why the highlight of my Thanksgiving wasn’t the food or the company (though both were great)—it was the quiet moments I carved out for myself afterward.
Later that night, I decided to unwind and recharge. My belly was full ๐, the rain had stopped, but the cold still lingered. I fired up Sims 3 ๐ฎ, hoping for some nostalgic fun, but it had other plans. The game lagged so badly, saving was a painfully slow process ๐ฐ️. I almost gave up, but I stuck it out, alternating between my gameplay frustrations and my Watch Later playlist on YouTube ๐น.
As midnight approached, I realized how much I’d needed this time to myself. It had been a while since I’d played Sims or spent time in my books. That’s not like me at all. Returning to both reminded me how much I love getting lost in the things that bring me joy ✨, especially when the world feels overwhelming.
Black Friday is here now, but I’m not going anywhere. No deals or crowds for me—I’ll be staying in, working on my homework ๐ since we’re on Thanksgiving break. It’s all about staying productive in my own introverted way, finding comfort in the little things, and making time for what truly matters to me ๐.
Sometimes, it’s the quiet, simple days that leave the most lasting impressions ๐.
