Wednesday Adventures: My Own “Attack of the Geese”

Today felt like a scene straight out of Attack of the Geese! 🪿 Okay, so it’s not a real Alfred Hitchcock movie, but with the way these geese were spread out across campus, staring me down like I’d invaded their territory, it definitely felt like I was in one. Usually, there’s a crowd of people around, but today it was just me, the geese, a few squirrels 🐿️ darting around, and that classic fall chill, giving it a whole “Hitchcock suspense” vibe. The day started cold 🥶, so I made a quick run to 7/11 for a butter roll with jelly and a hot coffee ☕️.

The butter roll was perfect, but of course, my coffee went lukewarm just when I needed the warmth—classic betrayal. And just as I settled onto a bench, the geese practically moved in around me, forcing me to retreat before they could claim the entire spot. Later, I had a dentist appointment for a cleaning, and of course, my body decided it was the perfect time for my gums to flare up, leaving them sensitive and raw. Seriously, why does my body do this to me? I’m nice! It’s almost 2025, can I trade this body in for a new one yet? I told the hygienist, who was thankfully gentle, but my gums are still on fire 🔥 and hurt so much I can barely get my snacks down. Plus, with the weather constantly changing, I’ve got this split in the corner of my mouth 👄.

And to add to the drama, the weather went from misty and chilly to warm and sunny—fall can’t seem to make up its mind this week. But honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way. Nature’s quirks, surprise dental pain, and the geese gang’s takeover are just making campus life feel like an adventure, one unexpected twist at a time. 🍂
