Time For A Change: Stop the Mass Shootings Now
Enough is Enough: America, Fix Your Gun Problem
Here we are again. Another school year, another fucking mass shooting. This time, by a 14-year-old. What the hell is going on? I'm so tired of hearing about this—it's devastating. Innocent children and their families, gone. Teachers, who are underpaid as it is, are being forced to deal with trauma and terror every single day. And for what?
You sit there, trying to tell women what they should do with their bodies, yet claim to care so much about the children. Save the fucking children you already have! Stop with the fake morality bullshit and actually do something that matters—like fixing the real problem.
America has a gun problem. We all know it, but nothing gets done because these fucking Republicans are too deep in bed with the NRA. They sold their souls. We’re the only country dealing with this madness. Nowhere else in the world do children have to prepare for mass shootings while they're trying to learn. No one else lets their citizens own weapons designed for war.
Every time this happens, it’s the same cycle—thoughts and prayers. Fuck your thoughts and prayers. That’s not going to bring anyone back. That doesn’t save lives. DO SOMETHING. Implement gun laws. Background checks, mental health checks—something. Why the hell do civilians even have access to assault weapons? For what? No one needs that shit.
Parents who leave their guns where their children can get them should be tried. How many more innocent children have to be slaughtered before we see real change? Republicans, you have the blood of these children and teachers on your hands. Every single one of you refusing to work with Democrats to solve this, every one of you blocking progress—you are the reason this keeps happening. This is your fault.
Gun violence is killing this country. And it’s beyond exhausting. How much more do we have to endure? Fix the gun problem. Protect our children. Stop pretending thoughts and prayers are enough.
The NRA (National Rifle Association) has long been criticized for prioritizing guns and the interests of the firearms industry over the safety and well-being of the public. Here's how they’ve consistently demonstrated that they care more about guns than anything else:
- Lobbying Against Gun Control: The NRA spends millions each year lobbying to prevent any form of gun control legislation. This includes measures like universal background checks, red flag laws, and restrictions on the sale of assault weapons — policies that are designed to save lives but would cut into gun sales. Their primary focus is on making sure gun ownership is as widespread and unrestricted as possible, regardless of the consequences.
- Ties to Gun Manufacturers: The NRA receives significant funding from gun manufacturers. As a result, they have a vested interest in promoting guns and keeping sales high. Any attempt to regulate firearms, even when public safety is at risk, is seen as a threat to their bottom line, so they fight it aggressively.
- Opposition to Public Safety Measures: After every mass shooting, instead of pushing for reforms that could prevent future tragedies, the NRA doubles down on promoting more guns. They argue that the solution to gun violence is more armed citizens, ignoring the overwhelming evidence that more guns often lead to more violence.
- Deflecting Responsibility: The NRA consistently shifts blame after mass shootings. They deflect responsibility onto video games, mental health issues, and even the victims themselves, but they never acknowledge that easy access to guns is part of the problem. They refuse to recognize the role their policies play in these tragedies.
- Silence on School Shootings: Despite the repeated school shootings, the NRA continues to promote guns as the solution. They have never supported any meaningful legislation to protect children in schools or limit access to firearms, even when it’s clear that such laws would reduce the chances of school shootings happening.
Ultimately, the NRA has shown time and time again that its top priority is defending and promoting guns, even when that comes at the cost of innocent lives. By blocking any real attempts to curb gun violence, they reveal that their loyalty lies with firearms, not with the safety of the American people.
This image emphasizes the need to actively vote and take a stand against initiatives like Project 2025, which threaten democracy. In the context of gun violence, this speaks to the importance of voting for leaders who prioritize the safety and well-being of people over the interests of the NRA and gun manufacturers. Politicians who are in bed with the NRA have consistently failed to protect American citizens. If we don't vote them out, nothing will change. It’s not just about thoughts and prayers anymore—it’s about action and ensuring that those who value human lives over guns are the ones making laws.
This image is a simple, yet direct call to action. It’s a plea for people to help stop gun violence by spreading awareness and pushing for change. The phrase "a community free from gun violence" feels like an impossible dream in America because the NRA has made sure guns are available to anyone, regardless of the consequences. Sharing information, raising awareness, and organizing are all vital in creating a safer future. But again, this points to the bigger issue—the NRA doesn’t want a safer America if it means they lose control of their guns. They’d rather let more children die than agree to reasonable regulations.
