The Rollercoaster of College Life 🎢

Today has been a whirlwind! 🌪️ I attended my reading comprehension class this morning at 10:30, and to my surprise, my professor gave us a 50-minute quiz 😳😶‍🌫️. Fingers crossed 🤞🏾 I do well. On top of that, I just secured a tutor for math 🧮 and my writing class. I have another tutor session lined up for Friday the 13th—uh oh, what could go wrong? 😂

Right now, I’m in the campus library, rewriting my writing assignment. Ugh, when does the fun begin?

On a different note, I have a meet and greet for transfer students at FDU, which is seriously putting me out of my comfort zone 😳. College life is hitting hard—why did I think it was a good idea to go back? WTF, why can’t I just dive straight into my major courses instead? I know my weaknesses, and they’re definitely showing. I’m trying to get tutors for everything I can, but with my schedule booked solid with doctor’s appointments this month, it’s a challenge. 😩😢

The Rollercoaster of a Saturday Night: Bathtub Disasters, Ancient Aliens, and Everything in Between 🛁👽📱

Saturday night, and I was ready for a relaxing bath after a busy week. The plan? An oatmeal Epsom soak, some peaceful reading, and just unwinding. I had everything set: my book, my iPad, my bath filled with warm water… or so I thought. But no—the hot water completely bailed on me. I waited patiently, reading my book, hoping for the water to warm up. Despite running it for a while, the comforting warmth I craved never came. To top it off, I got into the bath anyway, but it was freezing! So much for my long, peaceful soak. My 20-minute timer went off, and I was left sitting in cold water, wishing for just a little bit of comfort. Talk about a huge letdown. 😩❄️ I was all set to do my usual routine afterward: changing my expired insulin pump and Dexcom sensor. But nope, that didn’t happen.   Let’s be real—there’s nothing quite like getting lost in a good book. The plot twists, the unforgettable characters, the world-building so vivid it pulls you in…  chef’s kiss . Books are my escape, my happy place, my way of avoiding social interactions I didn’t sign up for. But you know what ruins the experience? Stupidity. And I don’t mean the fun, fictional kind where the protagonist makes terrible decisions for the sake of drama (we all secretly love that). I’m talking about real-world, brain-cell-draining stupidity—the kind that makes you question how some people function on a daily basis. Yes, I am a book reader. Yes, I am highly allergic to stupidity.
