Shocked and Confession Time: My Reading and Gaming Hiatus 😧
Hey everyone,
Before I head to bed 🛌 for real this time, I have to share something that’s been weighing on me. I’m still in shock 😱 and just had to confess—OMG 😳 I haven’t touched any of my books 📚 in a couple of months. Yes, you read that right. I haven’t been in the mood for reading at all. Even while I was in the hospital 🏥, I couldn’t dive into a single book.
To be honest, I’m still not in the mood right now, and there’s just too much going on. I’m stunned at myself because not picking up a book is so unlike me. I usually can’t get enough of them, and here I am, way behind on my Goodreads reading challenge. I’m probably not going to meet my goal, even though it’s only September. 😩
On a slightly brighter note, I did treat myself once to a goodie box from one of my favorite authors, Lyra Paris. If you’re a fan, you’ll know how heartbroken I was when Kennedy Fox 🦊 disbanded. I was craving more Bishop Brothers, but I’m doing my best to support her new books. I’m also part of her ARC Team, which means I get advance reading copies and exclusive content. 📚💕
But, back to my confession—I need to get back into my reading routine. And speaking of routines, let’s talk about The Sims. 😂 I haven’t played in a while, and unfortunately, Sims 4 has become so boring since Maxis/EA took out all the fun features that made the game enjoyable. I finally got Sims 3 working again, but with being sick 🤒 and busy 😩, I haven’t had a chance to dive back into it.
So, here’s to hoping that I can get back into my reading and gaming groove soon. For now, I’m heading to bed, but I had to get this off my chest. If anyone has tips for reigniting a reading habit or making Sims fun again, I’m all ears! 😅
Goodnight, and here’s to hoping tomorrow brings a fresh start. 🌙
