From Algebra Nightmares to Period Struggles: A Full Breakdown
Ugh, where do I even start? It’s been one of those weeks where everything feels overwhelming. I’ve been wrestling with algebra problems that make me question their relevance to my future in graphic design. To top it off, my period decided to show up with a vengeance, making everything even harder. 😩 I had to solve a problem like 3(p+7) for my algebra class. Using the distributive property, I rewrote it as 3p+21. Honestly, the struggle with these problems feels endless, especially when you're finishing a 50-question quiz at 1:59 AM. The mental exhaustion is real, and I can’t wait for this phase to pass.
Now, let’s talk about my period. It’s been brutal this month. The cramps, the fatigue, and let’s not even start on the odor—it’s something I’ve dealt with before, unfortunately, many times with this stupid period. And don’t get me started on menstrual products. 😩 Tampons are uncomfortable, and there’s that lingering worry about potential health risks. Plus, I’ve heard they can be linked to more serious issues, which makes me even more reluctant to use them.
Menstrual cups? Absolutely not. 🤢 I find them unsanitary and just plain gross. The thought of them is unsettling, and they don’t seem like a practical option for me. I’ve heard people say you need to “let it flow,” and honestly, using pads and keeping up with good hygiene is the only way that feels right to me. The idea of a menstrual cup just doesn’t sit well with me, and tampons are no better in my book.
I’m thankful my period came now instead of on my birthday—small mercies, right? 🎉 Despite the discomfort and the academic grind, I’m pushing through. Each algebra problem solved and each challenge faced is a step forward, and I’m determined to keep going.
So here’s to making it through one tough week, finding solutions, and managing personal hurdles as best as I can. If you’re dealing with similar struggles, hang in there—we’ve got this. 💪🏽
