Turning 37 tomorrow has me reflecting on where I am in life and where I want to be. This age feels like a crossroads, especially with health issues and financial constraints impacting my journey. 🌟


The Reality of Rising Rent Costs 🏡


One of the biggest challenges I’m facing is the skyrocketing cost of housing. With rents climbing well above $2000 in many areas, finding an affordable place to live seems almost impossible. It’s frustrating to see that even though I’m on all the affordable housing lists, the wait feels endless. 😔


Staying Put: My Practical Choice 🏠


Given the high rents, staying with my mom has been a practical decision. It offers stability and allows me to focus on my goals without the added stress of high housing costs. This time is valuable for me to build my career, enhance my skills, and prepare financially for a future of independence. 💪


Strategizing for the Future 📈


Although renting on my own feels out of reach right now, I’m working on making progress in other ways:


• Career Growth: I’m investing in my career and expanding my skills. This should lead to better income prospects and more financial stability. 🚀

• Saving and Budgeting: I’m keeping a tight budget and saving diligently. Every bit counts as I prepare for future housing costs. 💰

• Exploring Alternatives: I’m staying alert to housing markets in different areas, looking into subsidized housing options, and remaining open to creative solutions. 🔍


Finding My Path Forward 🌈


Balancing my current situation with my long-term goals is challenging, but I’m focusing on every step forward as progress. Embracing this period as a time of preparation and growth helps me stay motivated. 🌟


As I navigate this decade, I remind myself that it’s not just about where I am now, but where I’m headed. With perseverance and a clear plan, I believe I can turn these challenges into opportunities and continue building the life I envision. 🌠

Diary of a Chaotic Day: Math, Figma, Funky Classmates, and a Walmart Surprise

lol this ai pic is so funny 😂  Late Post: Written on November 14, 2024 Today was… something, to say the least. It all started with a brutal math quiz 🧮 ➗ that, for some reason, my professor thought could be done in 20 minutes—without a calculator. Seriously? Twenty minutes to solve problems like: • p² + 11p + 30 = (p + 5)(p + 6) • b² + 8b + 15 = (b + 3)(b + 5) • 36 - 25t² = (6 - 5t)(6 + 5t) These aren’t your basic addition problems—factorizing on paper is a whole other struggle! Tackling them without any kind of help was impossible 🤯. Math class feels like my personal downfall, but I’m powering through as best as I can 💪🏾. After surviving that, I treated myself to some Green Day coffee ☕ and mini tacos 🌮 with a kick!
