Birthday Adventures in NYC: A Day Full of Laughs and Love!

What a day! ๐ŸŽ‰ I just got back from an adventurous birthday trip to NYC with my family, and let me tell you, it was an experience! I thought SoHo was going to be a scene straight out of the movies, but nope… it was mostly walking, shops, and “luxury car spotting.” Rolls Royces and Lamborghinis were everywhere—like, whoa! ๐Ÿคฏ But despite the surprises, I had a blast laughing with my family, even if I had to apologize for bringing them all the way there. ๐Ÿ˜‚

We strolled through the streets, explored Canal Street (hello, endless hustle of deals!), and soaked in the perfect weather. Honestly, it couldn’t have been a better day to roam around NYC. I even had my cousin with us, and she never goes anywhere! Plus, we survived the wild traffic in Chinatown—parking in NYC? NEVER again! ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿพ‍♀️ Next time, we’re sticking to the bus, but hey, at least we had a good time.

After all the fun, we made our way to Hackensack to drop off my cousin, and then we proceeded back home. ๐Ÿ›ฃ️ Once we got home, I treated myself to some chicken… which sadly wasn’t hitting right tonight. Ugh, even the fries were off! ๐ŸŸ Oh well, not every meal can be perfect.

Now, I’m fresh out of the shower ๐Ÿšฟ๐Ÿงด, kicking back with YouTube and a can of Dr. Pepper. As I scroll through my Facebook memories, I saw a birthday shoutout from my best friend, Mark, from a few years ago. Man, I miss him so much. ๐Ÿ’™ And walking the NYC streets reminded me of my uncle Boonie—those were our stomping grounds. I miss him and my other family members who passed away in 2022. Losing them all in such a short time really made that “deaths come in threes” saying hit home.

But I’m grateful for the memories, and honestly, today was a beautiful celebration of life. Now that it’s after midnight, I’ve got to turn my attention to homework (yawn!) and prep for tomorrow. Oh, and I have a math test. ๐Ÿ˜ณ Let’s just say I’m hoping for the best and bracing for the worst—wish me luck!

On top of all that, I’m playing pickleball for the first time tomorrow! I don’t even know WTF pickleball is, but I guess I’ll find out. ๐Ÿ˜‚ At least I’m getting a ride from my mom again, since she’s going to the office. Perfect timing for me! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Here’s to another year, full of love, laughter, and memories. Thanks to everyone who sent me birthday wishes! ๐ŸŽ‚๐Ÿ’–
