The Bane of My Existence: My Daily Hill Climb
Today’s walk had me facing my arch-nemesis once again—the hill that’s become the bane of my existence. It’s not just any hill; it’s the kind that makes you question why you ever decided to walk in the first place. If only I lived in the housing across the street! But alas, my journey takes me further up the road, where this hill stands in my way every day.
But you know what? As much as I gripe about it, I have to admit—it’s good exercise. It’s the kind of challenge that forces me to push through, even when I’d rather not. So, while it’s a pain (literally and figuratively), I guess I have to give this hill some credit for keeping me on my toes.
And honestly, this hill is tame compared to the one by McDonald’s. Forget that hill. I really, really hate it. I once tried riding my bike on it… and never again! Seriously, that was a nightmare—too fast to slow down, and way too steep to walk back up with the bike. I’m still scarred from that experience. 😨
But seriously, can those new sneakers arrive already?
