Why I'll Always Be a Fan of Ja Rule
I will never stop being a fan of the one and only Ja Rule. People love to clown him now, but back in the '90s and early 2000s, everyone was bumping his music. He dominated the charts with hit after hit. The hate for Ja Rule skyrocketed mainly because of 50 Cent, who mocked Ja Rule for rap-singing, yet ended up doing the same thing himself. Talk about hypocrisy! 50 even tried to emulate Ja Rule's success by signing female artists to his label, just like Ja Rule had Ashanti on Murder Inc. It’s clear that Ja Rule lives rent-free in 50's head.
Music magazines and blogs often leave Ja Rule out of the conversation, but they’re closet fans too. Everyone and their mom was listening to Ja Rule, then suddenly, hating on him became the cool thing to do. No loyalty. Despite all this, Ja Rule is still selling out shows and killing it, while people are realizing what a clown 50 really is.
Ja Rule’s classic songs and features are timeless. Here's a list of some of his best:
1. "Always on Time" (feat. Ashanti)
2. "Mesmerize" (feat. Ashanti)
3. "Livin' It Up" (feat. Case)
4. "Put It on Me" (feat. Lil' Mo & Vita)
5. "I'm Real (Murder Remix)" (with Jennifer Lopez)
6. "Between Me and You" (feat. Christina Milian)
7. "Wonderful" (feat. R. Kelly & Ashanti)
8. "Holla Holla"
9. "Thug Lovin'" (feat. Bobby Brown)
10. "New York" (feat. Fat Joe & Jadakiss)
11. "Clap Back"
12. "Down Ass Bitch" (feat. Charlie Baltimore)
And many more!
Murder Inc. Records, led by Irv Gotti, had a massive influence on the music industry. They created a unique blend of rap and R&B that dominated the charts and set trends. Irv Gotti's vision and production skills were instrumental in shaping the sound of the early 2000s, making Murder Inc. a powerhouse in the music world.
Ja Rule’s music still rocks, and I’ll always be a fan. Murda 4 Life!!! They cool, but they ain’t R.U.L.E.
