Finding Balance and Building Connections at FDU
As I prepare to start my journey at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU), I’m reflecting on the balance I’ll need to maintain between academics, work, and social life. One of my goals is to find like-minded individuals on campus who share my interests and values. Building a supportive network of friends who understand and resonate with my experiences will be crucial for making the most of my time at college.
I’m particularly interested in participating in the work-study program, as it offers valuable experience and helps with financial support. However, I’m mindful of not overloading myself. Balancing work, studies, and personal time will be essential to avoid burnout and ensure I can thrive both academically and personally.
Finding the right people to connect with will play a significant role in this balance. I’m excited to engage with various student organizations and clubs that align with my interests and values. By joining these groups, I hope to meet others who share similar passions and can offer support and camaraderie throughout my college experience.
While the work-study program presents an excellent opportunity, I’ll approach it with careful consideration to ensure it complements rather than complicates my academic goals. Managing time effectively will be key, and I’m committed to staying organized and focused to make the most of every opportunity that comes my way.
Navigating college life is a journey of discovering new experiences and forming meaningful connections. I’m looking forward to the adventures and challenges ahead, knowing that with the right balance and support, I can achieve my goals and make the most of my time at FDU.
