Happiness Is… Quiet Time After a Long Day ☕πŸ“–

Image
There’s something deeply satisfying about finally getting to unwind after a long day of navigating the world. 🌍 The noise, the expectations, the small talk—it all melts away when I can just exist in my own space. No forced conversations, no draining social obligations. Just me, my comfort, and the simple things that make life feel a little easier. A comfy spot on the couch πŸ›‹️, a good book πŸ“š (or let’s be honest, scrolling endlessly through my TBR list, debating what to start next 🀦🏾‍♀️), maybe a drink in hand 🍷, and the knowledge that I don’t have to be  on  anymore. That’s happiness. That’s peace. ✨ For an introvert, moments like these aren’t just nice—they’re necessary. They’re the quiet recalibration after spending too much energy on the outside world. It’s not loneliness, it’s solitude, and there’s a huge difference. Some people recharge by being around others. Me? I recharge by sinking into my own little world, where the only voices I have to hear are the ones in my ...

My Next Read: Delay, Deny, Defend by Jay M. Feinman πŸ“–

Image
It’s no secret that I read a little bit of everything, but my next book felt like a necessary deep dive into a topic that hits close to home: the American insurance industry and, by extension, the healthcare system. I chose  Delay, Deny, Defend: Why Insurance Companies Don’t Pay Claims and What You Can Do About It  by Jay M. Feinman. This book has resurfaced into the spotlight recently, largely due to conversations around the exploitative nature of the healthcare industry. Pair that with the buzz following the unexpected death of UnitedHealth Group’s CEO, and the timing felt serendipitous. It’s no exaggeration to say the healthcare system in this country feels like a scam, and Feinman’s book promised to pull back the curtain on why that is—and how we, as consumers, can protect ourselves. So, I Started Reading... OK, so I started reading this, but 🀷🏾‍♀️ the book itself wasn’t drawing me in. It wasn’t quite hitting the mark for me, even though the topic is something I’m...

Self-Care Saturdays: Awkwardly Uneven but Totally Worth It

Image
Hey there, it’s your girl behind the blog,  Awkwardly Introverted ! It’s a lazy Saturday, and I’m taking some much-needed time to relax and give myself a facial. Granted, it’s awkwardly put on and hilariously uneven, but that’s part of the charm, right? Self-care doesn’t have to look perfect—it just has to feel good! Oh, and guess what? It snowed just a little bit today! To be honest, I was hoping for a little more snow—but not like upstate NY or Midwest levels (I’m not ready for that kind of winter chaos). For now, I’m making do with my YouTube fireplace paired with a snowy background video to set the vibe. It’s cozy and just what I need. Speaking of cozy, I’m about to dive back into my hockey romance book πŸ“–⛸️⛸️πŸ’πŸ₯… because, let’s be real, that’s about as much action as I get these days. LMAO. πŸ«’πŸ€πŸ« πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ For some reason, I find myself reading hockey romances more than any other sport—don’t ask me why, it’s just what I gravitate toward! This one was a random pick from my Goodreads...

Late Night Reading Adventures πŸ“š✨

Image
I came across this image recently, and I have to say—it hit home. "I was the kid who stayed up all night reading books," and honestly, I’m still that person. There’s something so magical about staying up way past bedtime, completely immersed in a story. The quiet of the night makes the words on the page even more vivid, like the world around you disappears, and it’s just you and the book. πŸŒ™πŸ“– Books have always been an escape for me. Whether it’s exploring a fantasy land 🏰, diving into a mystery πŸ•΅πŸ½‍♀️, or unraveling a complex character’s journey, I’ve always found a sense of comfort and adventure within those pages. It doesn’t matter how old I get or how busy life becomes, I can still find myself staying up way too late, devouring chapter after chapter. πŸ“š And let’s not forget the book boyfriends ! 😍 Ain’t nothing like falling in love with characters who capture your heart and make you wish they were real. You know the ones I’m talking about—the heroes with flaws, charm...
