They Not Like Us – The Anthem of Black Power We are not the same. Kendrick Lamar said it loud and clear:  They not like us.  And if you feel this deep in your soul, you already know what it is. This ain’t just a diss track. This is a declaration. A battle cry. A reminder. For centuries, Black people have moved different, thought different, created different. We set the trends, we shift the culture, we  are  the culture. Our music, our art, our power—imitated but never duplicated. They try to walk like us, talk like us, BE us… but they not like us. Please Don’t Kill My Vibe: An Introvert’s Anthem ✌🏾🎧

Kendrick Lamar said it best:   “Bitch, don’t kill my vibe.”   And honestly, introverts everywhere have been silently screaming this for years. Our vibe is sacred. ✨ It’s the peace of a quiet room 🛋️, the joy of losing ourselves in a book 📖, the comfort of vibing alone 🎶 without small talk or forced interactions. It’s that perfect  flow state  where we’re in our element—until someone comes in and disrupts it. Maybe it’s an unexpected phone call 📱 when we were just about to get lost in our thoughts. Maybe it’s someone pushing us into plans we weren’t mentally prepared for. 😩 Or maybe it’s just the world being too  loud  when all we need is a moment of silence. 🤎🤫 Social energy is precious. 🧘🏾‍♀️ When we say we need space, it’s not personal—it’s survival. Like Kendrick’s lyrics, sometimes we just want to vibe in peace, without external chaos throwing us off balance. So, to the extroverts, the energy-drainers, and the unintentional vibe-killers:  ...

A Heartfelt Thank You (And Off to Homework I Go…)

Image
Dear Amazing Readers, First off, I just want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for being part of this incredible journey during Black History Month! Your support means the world to me, and it’s been such a joy sharing the stories of these incredible individuals who’ve made such a profound impact on history. From artists to activists, innovators to trailblazers, we've celebrated some of the best and brightest. But now, duty calls! It’s time for homework (ugh 😩), but don’t worry—I’ll be back tomorrow, ready to share more about the amazing figures who’ve shaped Black history. The work never stops, and neither does the celebration of these phenomenal individuals. And I can’t lie—I’m also looking forward to Kendrick Lamar at the halftime show tonight! I’m sure there will be some entertaining reactions from people who can’t handle "Lift Every Voice and Sing" being on TV or Kendrick’s performance. But hey, let them be mad while we enjoy the greatness! 😂 Thanks again...
